Tyler N. Sheehan, FICF, CLTC is a Financial Advisor and Assistant General Agent with the Knights of Columbus Niemeyer Agency serving Brother Knights and their families, overseeing the Eastern side of the state of IL, in Cumberland, Effingham, Jasper, and Shelby counties. Tyler joined the Order in 2011 and became a Field Agent in January 2015. Tyler joined the Order because he felt it would be a great opportunity to help fellow Catholic men and their families while still practicing his faith. “I love to lend a helping hand, and with this opportunity, I am able to help several Brother Knights and their families every year. That’s what the Knights of Columbus is all about,” said Tyler.

Tyler grew up in a very small town, called Trowbridge, Illinois. Early on, he saw the way small towns came together in times of need. “It’s a small town where everybody knows everybody, and you can always count on somebody being there for you,” said Tyler. Tyler wanted to be the go-to guy in times of need. He began by graduating from Neoga High School in 2012. From there, he went on to earn an Associate’s in Accounting and a Certificate in Business Management at Lake Land College. He then studied to become a licensed Insurance Agent and has been licensed since November 2014. He continues his insurance education today.

Before Tyler’s days as an Insurance Agent, he helped his father, Dan Sheehan. Dan had been an Agent with the Knights since September 2010 and became a very successful agent, achieving the Lifetime Million Dollar Round Table Award (MDRT), an honor reserved for the top one percent of financial professionals in the world. Dan retired in September 2024. Tyler studied closely under his father, gaining valuable experience, and eventually became an MDRT qualifier himself.

Today, Tyler resides in Trowbridge with his wife, Brittany. They welcomed a son, Eli, in November 2021, and another son, Lucas, in August 2023. Their family attends St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Neoga. Throughout his community, Tyler is involved with St. Patrick’s Cemetery Board. Outside of work, Tyler referees basketball games and enjoys spending time golfing. Tyler said that you can always catch him on the golf course, every week, all year round.

Since joining the Order, Tyler has helped with many breakfasts, fish fries, Tootsie Roll drives, March for Life, and several other charitable events with his local council in Neoga. Tyler enjoys helping others and will strive to meet your financial needs.

Tyler was a Supreme Knight Club qualifier for 2015 and was also rewarded with the company-wide 2015 Rookie of the Year Award. This prestigious accomplishment reflected Tyler’s hard work and perseverance throughout the year. He also qualified for the Premier Performers Award Trip in 2015 (Kauai, Hawaii), 2018 (Bermuda), 2019 (Big Island, Hawaii), 2021 (Bahamas), 2022 (Disney World, Orlando, Florida), 2023 (Arizona Biltmore), and 2024 (Dominican Republic).
